The entire women fraternity was acknowledged on International Women\'s Day with a Special celebration at IES Campus. IES ProChancellor, Dr Sunita Singh welcomed the Chief Guest Mrs. Urmila Shukla, IAS, Director, WALMI, who inspired everyone with her encouraging and thought provoking speech. Eminent women achievers like Dr. Renee Malik, HOD of Pathology Department, GMC; Dr. Amita Chand, President Bhopal Runners Association and Bhopal Organ Donation Society; Dr. Geeta Narhari, Academician and Psychologist; Dr. Anupama Rawat, State level coordinator for Cambridge Assessment English Training Program; Mrs. Richa Choubey AIG, Welfare and Accounts; and Ms. Mayanglambam Inaucha Devi, International Canoeing Sports Star were all felicitated with Citations during the event. The faculties and students were impressed to hear the views of the eminent guests on the theme \"Gladden your Spirit\". Teachers gave mesmerizing dance performances and also presented a humorous skit on gender parity. IES University has believed in providing equal opportunities to all professionals and due recognition to all achievers and this event culminated with Cake cutting to thank all the esteemed women for gracing the occasion
We are blessed with an extra day this year and IES Public School organised a Leap Day party today for Kindergarten kids. They were briefed about the phenomenon of Leap year through an interesting PPT. Children were excited with the extra fun they had on this special day which comes once in four years. Their curiosity and enjoyment made the celebration successful and ensured they would always put in efforts to enjoy this day in the future too.
Primary students of Class I and II enjoyed a picnic at the scenic children’s park at BHEL on 13th Feb 2020. They played games, sang songs, danced and shared their home made goodies with friends on the lush garden greens. The toy train at the park was the favorite and they happily cheered each other during the ride. Their excitement continued even after they returned from the picnic and this relaxation proved good for revival of energies before the Final exams.
Annual Inter House Sports Prize Distribution @ IES Public School, Bhopal.
The Inter School Sports Prize Distribution was held on 30th Jan 2k20 in the Open Air Auditorium at school. These competitions included spectacular sports like Basketball, Swimming and Football. On the occasion, the School Director congratulated the winning sports persons and teams from all four houses. She encouraged all the students to take part in games and other co-curricular activities. Medals and certificates were presented to the winners. It was a rewarding day for the entire IES family as students won individual medals in various competitions, and the most coveted Overall Inter House Trophy was awarded to Integrity(Red) House. The finalists set a very admirable benchmark for the upcoming sportsperson and generated enthusiasm for participation in sports.
JYMTS, Season VI Award Ceremony on 12th Jan 2020, once again recognized the budding talent across segments and was successful in promoting excellence among students. It was graced by IES Group Director, Dr. Sunita Singh, along with School Director, Prof Manisha Kawathekar.
The Ceremony began with the lightning of the lamp followed by a power packed dance performance by IES students. This year over 600 students participated in the event and were given certificates, goodies, medals and Merit scholarships. The children claiming the Ist, IInd and IIIrd Prize were given cash prizes of Rs 1,100; Rs700; and Rs 500 respectively. This Season\'s Overall Winner, Yamini Yadav of Class VI, won a cash prize of Rs11,000. IES management congratulated the participants and recipients of the awards. Such ISR activities are taken up regularly by IES to motivate talented students.
Stories and Beyond has been working tirelessly to develop the love for books among kids. To take it a step further they have invited the vibrant team of bookaroo here in the city of lakes.
The outreach programme is being conducted in different schools. Bookaroo Outreach Program bridges National and International famed authors, storytellers and illustrators to the schools in the city.
Ms Paaro Anand is an eminent children's Author and Sahitya Akademi Award Winner. She also holds a World Record for helping make the world's longest newspaper. She took an enchanting session at IES leaving the Primary students mesmerised, so much so that they gave her a standing ovation.

The extremely thrilling Interschool Open Taekwondo Championship 2K19 for Girls and Boys was held at IES Public School on 20th and 21st Dec. 2019. Over 150 students from various eminent CBSE schools like Saint Mary, Old Campion School, Al-ASR-Academy, KVS, NRI Global Discovery School, CRC Bhopal, MP Academy, etc. participated in the championship. The participants were very eager, enthusiastic and skilled while performing in the event. The overall winner was CRC, the First Runner up was old Campion School and Second Runner up was AL-ASR Academy.
A Prize distribution ceremony for Abacus competition 2K19 was held on 8th Dec, at IES Public School. Approximately 300 participants, parents and Center heads attended the event. Scholarships worth Rs One and half Lakhs and prizes of Rs 1,100; Rs 700, Rs 500 were given to the candidates securing first, second and third positions. Certificates and consolation prizes were also distributed to the participants and the family members attending the event appreciated this initiative. IES Pro Chancellor, Dr. Sunita Singh gave away the Awards and motivated the participants to continue working on skill improvement, espscially in Mathematics.IES Public School is creating a distinct path through its ISR activities- for their students and for the community as a whole.
JYMTS VI Conducted @ IES Public School, Bhopal.
The VIth season of Junior Young Mind Talent Search Examination 2019 was held at school on 15.12.19. It served as an opportunity for the bright young minds to prove their mettle at English, Maths, Science, Logic-Reasoning and GK.
Many enthusiastic young students from several eminent schools of the city participated with peer from other schools to bag the Awards, Goodies worth 3 Lakhs and Scholarships worth 20 Lakhs of Rupees. This unique examination, which has gained much popularity over the past years in the entire city, is part of the ISR Activities of school..
IES Kids Carnival was a unique school event held at the Ratibad Campus on 1st Dec 2019. The 3 K plus crowd of students, parents, grandparents, relatives and friends were all brimming with excitement on witnessing spectacular live shows. There was melodious music, foot tapping dance performances by all age group of students, Zumba by a professional trainer, comedy show, ramp walk for mothers and daughters and the like. The chief attraction was the game zone with numerous rides, like ATV Bikes, Knockout, Jumping jacks, Wall climbing, Toy train, Segways, Melt down, Zorbing etc, all of which transported the young audience to another realm of adventure while Mehandi, tatoo making, Hair style and such complimentary activities kept the senior members engaged. Students also show cased an Art Exhibition, and the Student Council members were responsible for managing the smooth operations.
Chancellor, IES University Er. B.S. Yadav and IES Group Director, Dr. Sunita Singh appreciated and congratulated everyone involved in making the event a grand success.
Diwali, the festival of lights, came alive @ IES Public school, Bhopal on 24th of October when the whole school was in a festive look with alluring diyas, thalis and rangolis adorning the reception and corridors of the school. The tiny tots came dressed up in traditional attire and enjoyed Deepawali Fete. The kindergarten students geared their excitement on the jumping jack. Various competitions such as Diya decoration, Fireless sweet making, Thali decoration n Rangoli competition were organised. Students celebrated Eco friendly Diwali with fervour and lots of enthusiasm. Faculties presented a commendable Ram Leela in school premises which proved an icing on the cake. In the end, the Principal delivered a speech on the significance of festivals and the relevance of eco friendly celebrations.
Sahodaya Interschool Skating Competition 2019-20.
IES Public School hosted the Skating competition 2019-20 on behalf of the Sahodaya Group of CBSE schools on 22nd October, 2019. Close to 200 participants from over 15 eminent CBSE schools from all over Bhopal participated enthusiastically in the electrifying event. The audience cheered the young girls and boys from age groups of Under 8 to Under 19, as they sped around the National level Skating rink. The event was seggregated into various categories of races like In-line, Quads, Hyper etc for boys and girls. The Chief Guest at the event was well known IPS Officer, Shri. Jaydeep Prashad, IG Railway Bhopal. The decorated, valiant Police Officer, who is a keen sports person himself, motivated the skaters and said he hoped the young participants would play in the Nationals too and bring glory to the State and their schools. The coaches, students and parents were happy and thanked the school for the arrangements and looked forward to attending more sports events at IES.
CBSE Cluster XII Table Tennis Competition, 2019-20
IES Public School, Bhopal hosted the Closing ceremony of CBSE Cluster XII Table Tennis Competition, 2019-20 on 13th, October 2019.
The program was graced by many luminaries - Shri D. Shreenivas Verma, IG, CID, Bhopal, Dr. Pushpendra Purashwani, CBSE Observer, Dr. S.B. Gita Narahari, Eminent Psychologist and they were accorded a warm welcome by Chancellor, IES University, Er B.S. Yadav.
The guests motivated the participants and shared their mantras for success, which included sheer hard work, positive attitude, remaining calm and focused on target for achieving goals. There was a mesmerizing dance performance by IES students, followed by the much awaited Prize Distribution ceremony. The winners were felicitated with Gold, Silver and Bronze medals and certificates. The Overall Winners in Boys’ and Girls’ categories were given Special trophies by the school, while the coaches and managers accompanying the teams were also felicitated with mementos. The ceremony concluded with handing over of the CBSE Flag to the Observer, which signified the formal closure of the event.
Kindr Garten Inter School Fancy Dress & Dance Competition Season 4 @ IES Public School, Bhopal
IES Public School organized Season 4 of Kindergarten Inter School Fancy Dress & Dance Competition on 14th Sept. 2019. The competition was in two categories- Pre-Nursery/Nursery and K.G. I/K.G. II. The Dance theme for Pre-Nursery/Nursery was Retro and for K.G. I/K.G. II was Hollywood; while the Fancy Dress Theme Pre-Nursery/Nursery was Super Heroes and for K.G. I/K.G. II was Best Out of Waste. Approximately 500 students and parents from six popular Play schools- New Dimension (Kohefiza and Gulmohur), Hello Kids, Kanha Kids, Generation Next and Kids Campus schools participated in these categories. It was a tough competition as in Fancy Dress the little ones were dressed very innovatively and delivered their lines so confidently that the Judges had a difficult time deciding the winners. The Dances in turn were mesmerizing; students were synchronized, music was apt and dresses were perfectly as per the concept portrayed. The overall Trophy for maximum winners was received by New Dimension School Kohefiza. All the parents and Principals appreciated IES for smooth conduction of the programme and for providing such a platform to the students.
Investiture Ceremony of the first Student Council of school was held on 6th Aug 2019. Earlier in the week, the nominees had presented their candidature with strong speeches in front of the Core Committee of Senior teachers, Jury and all their school mates to be elected to the Council wherein the panel zeroed in on the candidates who showed true leadership qualities.
Guest of Honour for the ceremony was Col Mishra, Ex Army Officer and acclaimed Corporate Trainer. He along with Er. B.S Yadav, Chairman, IES Group and Professor Manisha Kawathekar, Director School, administered Oath of office to the 21 Council Members. They donned their mantle of leadership with sashes, batches, placards, flags and promised to shoulder their responsibilities with the utmost dedication.
In his Welcome Address, IES Chairman motivated the children to keep moving forward despite all the obstacles and challenges that life put in their path. Col Mishra motivated the students with his words of wisdom and encouraged them to walk the righteous path and be the change makers needed by society. The council members for the Session 2019-20 are:
Huzefa Hussain -School Captain, Harsh Audichya -School Vice Captain, Murtaza Hussain -Discipline Secretary, Navalpreet Singh -Cultural Secretary and Swapnil Prajapati -Sports Secretary. Apart from these key posts, the four House Captains, Vice-Captains and Senior and Junior Prefects also took Oaths. All the members pledged to work earnestly and uphold the dignity and glory of the school.
It was a proud moment for the parents who were invited to witness this formal event so their children could share these precious moments of glory with them. The celebrations concluded with a High Tea for all the guests and Council members.
WOW at Work Workshop @ IES Public School, Bhopal
Mr Surya Narain Bahadur, eminent resorce person and motivational speaker, conducted ‘WOW AT WORK’ workshop for over hundred faculties of all branches of IES Public School on 13th July. The Vice-Principal of the institution delivered the welcome address and the stage was then taken over by the highly experienced and reputed Keynote speaker Mr Surya Narain Bahadur. He emphasized on maintaining the quality of deliverables presented daily by teachers to students and reinforced his ideas with PPT and videos. The stress was on incorporating innovative methods of teaching and gathering requisite responses. He kept the session interesting with his unique sense of humor. This interactive session was replete with learning experiences as the teachers were enriched with ideas, received note worthy examples and emerged motivated to put their knowledge into practice. Dr Sunita Singh, IES Group Director, appreciated the overwhelming positive response of the faculties for this workshop and promised to keep organising such sessions for their personal and professional growth.

Summer camp 2K19 got off to a glorious start, which witnessed participation by children from various schools of Bhopal for undertaking activities like Dance, Music, Personality Development, Creative Art and outdoor activities like Basketball, Swimming, Martial Art and Cricket. These Summer days spent making new friends while learning desired skills, will enrich the camp experience.
A new day begins with new thoughts, new strength and endless possibilities, hence, to enlighten and train the students school hosted Behes Interschool Debate Tournament on 20 & 21 April. The stage exuded zeal and vitality of the participants. Their awareness, spontaneity and confidence mpressed one and all. Champions Trophy of Cubs Division was won by IES Ratibad branch and Runner Up Trophy was bagged by IES Sehore. Champions Trophy, Lions Division was won by Bal Bhawan School and Runner Up by St.Xavier School. Medals for best speakers were won by Sagar Public school, Bal Bhawan School and IES Public School. This event helped students to exhibit their debating talent in good spirit. Dr Sunita Singh congratulated all the participants and promised to continue hosting such events for the development of students.
Academic Award Ceremony@ IES Public School,Bhopal Education is a student’s passport to success. AT IES, we ensure that students are trained for an unknown, uncertain future by preparing for it today. In this pursuit for excellence, encouragement and motivation is a must, and this was provided through the Academic Awards Ceremony for students from Classes I to IX on 16th April 2019. Over two hundred students and parents were present on the occasion. It commenced with the lighting of the auspicious lamp to invoke the blessings of Godess Saraswati. Principal Madam delivered the welcome address which opened with a quote by Theodore Roosevelt “Far and away the best prize that life has to offer is the chance to work hard at work worth doing.” A fascinating Puppet Dance by Primary students received cheers from the audience and an impassionate speech by an Eighth Grader touched the loving hearts of the parents of all the student achievers. IES Group Chairman, Er. B.S.Yadav gave away the Trophies and Medals to the deserving young scholars amidst applauses and accolades. IES Group Director, Dr Sunita Singh congratulated all the achievers and wished them success for future achievements, with the hope that they in turn will inspire and motivate the rest to realize their potential.
Cyber Crime Seminar @ IES Public School. A very informative and interactive seminar was conducted today for High School students by Resource person, Mr. Abishek Sonekar. Cyber Crime Inspector Abhishek Sonekar who has grabbed many awards, Aantrik suraksha padak, Durgam sewa padak govt. of India for serving in Naxal affected area in MP, Durgam sewa padak. He has also declared as Cyber cop of the year 2018 by DATA SECURITY COUNCIL OF INDIA. His PPT presentation facilitated the students understanding of Cyber Crime, the What/How/When etc. Students got to know the difference between Ethical and Unethical Hacking, they expanded their knowledge about Cyber Crime with the help of the light thrown on various aspects along with inputs about the methodology, experiences of victims, especially youngsters, in the age group 12-20 years. Students learnt to excercise caution while surfing on internet and this was the prime reason school conducted this seminar. It was informative and fruitful seminar as it dealt with the raging concern of parents, teachers and society as a whole.
Diplomathon Session @ IES Public School,Bhopal. On 10th April 2019 IES Students of Classes VI & VII attended an interactive Orientation Program on Diplomathon. It was a prestigious moment to have the Vice-president of Diplomathon Mr. Chintan B. Rajal to fecilitate the program. It was an eye-opener and highly interactive session for the students to understand the need to have good International Relations amongst countries. In M.P. only thirty-three schools are benefited with this theme based students\' conference, and IES School is one of them. Diplomathon 2019 is organising two days Students\' Conference on April 27 and 28, 2019. Participating students will get an opportunity to listen and interact with State Head Dr.Nilesh Deshpande from United Nations.
Achievers Win Laurels @ IES Public School, Bhopal. A leader resides within each child, all that is needed is the right opportunity! The Outstanding Achievers of IES Public School and IES College were felicitated on 29th March by Chief Guest, Smt.Jayshri Kiyawat, Commissioner and Project Director, Rashtriya Madhyamik Siksha Abhiyan along with Guests of Honour, Shri Dhirendra Chaturvedi, Joint Director DPI, Bhopal and Shri Dharmendra Sharma- District Education Officer, Bhopal at a Prize Distribution ceremony organised at school. Among the felicitated students, Pranav Jain was honoured for securing First Rank in NTSE at Bhopal, Harsh Gupta for winning at a Poster Competition at Meteorological Centre, in Sports, Praneet Yadav was awarded for his Gold Medal at National Open Mallakhamb Championship, Aryan Sen for his achievements in International Open Fencing Championship at Nasik. IES Group Director, Dr Sunita Singh congratulated all the achievers and wished them success for future achievements.
Career Counselling by Dr. Anjula Siddharth @ IES Public School,Bhopal. Dr. Anjula, a member of College of Psychologists at New Burnswick, Canada conducted a very informative and interactive session for High school students. It began with a quote,\" I\'ve decided to be happy because it is good for my health.\" Students of Classes VIII, IX and X were explained about emotional intelligence, treatment of depression, anxiety, etc which lead to personality disorders. This helped them realize the importance of being happy, judicious use of time and taking charge of their lives and future. The students listened attentively, participated keenly and cleared their queries. The session proved very helpful and informative for the teenagers and Dr Sunita Singh thanked the International expert for her valuable inputs.
Visit to Meteorological Centre @ IES Public School,Bhopal. The Meteorological Department (MET Department) is an agency of the Ministry of Earth Sciences of the Government of India which is responsible for meteorological observations, weather forecasting and seismology. It has the responsibility for weather forecasting, naming and distribution of warnings for tropical cyclones and climatic issues. Students of IES Public School were taken on an educational visit to Meteorological Department, where they were made aware of the different measuring instruments and their working process such as Rain Gauge, Air Temperature Sensor, Thermograph and Stevenson screen.They also participated in the Quiz and Poster making competition for school students, in which Shreya Jain(X) Kratika Agarwal (X) and Nidhi Nahar (X) bagged prizes.Thus IMD through its various activities plays a significant role in creating awareness about importance of climate and weather. IES Group Dir, Dr Sunita Singh congratulated the winners and appreciated the school\'s regular training module on General Awareness along with the student\'s efforts that ensured success.
Inter School Skating Competition @ IES Public School, Bhopal Inter School Skating Competition was held on Sunday, 17th June, 2019 at the Skating Ring of the Sports Complex at IES Public School, Bhopal. The vigor and enthusiasm of approximately 250 participants along with their cheering friends and family members was the hallmark of this event. Gold, Silver, Bronze Medals were won by girls and boys in Hyper, Tenacity and squads races in the age group of 4-16 years. Over 50 Gold medals, 45 Silver medals, and 38 Bronze medals were bagged by the talented participants. Mrs. Sapna Malviya, Dean Admin, IES Group, motivated the students with her inspiring words and encouraged them to maintain their determination and focus on achieving their goals.
